Variety reports that British actor, Idris Elba, is going to play the main villain in a spin-off from “Fast and Furious – Franchise. The film also includes Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their previously roles respectively. The director from Deadpool 2 – David Leitch is going to direct.
Chris Morgan, who wrote several films of the franchise has written the script and the movie is going into production this fall. The film is a pair teaming up with Johnson and Stathams characters, who go up against Elba.
Universal Studio has been trying to achieve a spin-off on Johnson character Luke Hobbs, because he’s popular among fans.
After some good interaction, when Statham joined the fast driving cars – series, the studio has ever since continued to develop a spin-off.
The film “Hobbs and Shaw” arrives in cinema July 26, 2019.
