With Henry Cavill exiting the DCEU and the cape of Superman, what does this mean for the rest of the world of superheroes?
“We have a great relationship and great respect for Henry Cavill that continues to remain unchanged. Additionally we have made no current decisions regarding any upcoming Superman films,”read a statement from a Warner Bros. spokesperson after the initial publication of this story.
Warner tried to enlist a cameo for Cavill in Shazam! (2019), starring Zachary Levi but it didn’t work out because of scheduleing conflicts. Warner Bros has therefore shift their focus on from the Man of Steel to a original movie with Supergirl instead.
“Superman is like James Bond, and after a certain run you have to look at new actors,” says a studio source. Which also includes Ben Afflecks exits as Batman/Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves upcoming film about the caped hero.
All we can is to speculate, especiallt after Henry Cavills instagram post, with the caption:” Today was exciting”.
