Breaking Bad / AMC

Just recently AMC announced that The Walking Dead is getting three feature film, Breaking Bad (2008-2013) is doing a similar deal, reports the Albuquerque Journal.

The report of a Breaking Bad – movie has been behind closed doors and the filming starts this fall. Vince Gilligan’s critical acclaimed and finest series is still a property from AMC. Early on, right after the end of the original run Better Call Saul – a prequel series about lawyer Jimmy McGill, which has on its own got substantial success. Just like many characters that died in the final seasons, choices would be a continuation for Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) or his son Walt Jr. Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White, has been neglecting the idea of a spin-off show.

At the tenth-year reunion at Comic-Con 2018, Cranston said:

“We’re very proud of our show and Better Caul Saul. In some ways, its’s best to leave it alone- that you want to think back on it favourably. I don’t want to mess with it. It was the perfect opportunity that changed all of our lives. It changed many lives on our show.”

Better Call Saul has been renewed for a fifth season and getting even closer to the events of Breaking Bad, which means that next season could be the final one. The Albuquerque Journal, has been reporting about a movie called Greenbrier, produced by Sony Pictures. This is in fact a Breaking Bad – movie. Later this month, principal photography will begin in New Mexico and finish off in February 2019.

Important to know is there is no confirmation that this Greenbrier is related to Gilligan’s world more than a cryptic synopsis; “the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.”. This could actually be about Jesse Pinkman after the crucial events of the series-final of Breaking Bad.
