We’re all trying so desperate to forget the horrible recently released female-lead reboot-version of Ghostbusters from 2016, that when Dan Aykroyd says that a third movie is still written for the moment, it’s wonderful news.
Talks of a third movie of Ghostbusters has been around for over twenty years and got lost completely when Harold Ramis got sick. Even Bill Murray is sceptical to a third movie. One story might be about the child Oscar from Dana (Sigourney Weaver) and Peter venkman (Murray), where he takes over the family business after Venkman dies in the first act.
“There is a possibility of a reunion with the three remaining Ghostbusters. It’s being written right now. I think Billy will come. The story’s so good. Even if he plays a ghost.”
For the time being, this is just not more than rumours and speculation until Sony makes it official. If it follow the leaked treatment online, Ramis scenes probably will be written out and some more scenes for Murray will be added.
