WORST OF THE WORST?

Stupid is what stupid does, right? And exactly that is what this brutally and sadly horrible this movie is. Well, I’ve never been a fan of the Transformers – movies. They’re barely watchable and horrible executed with constant non-stop CGI action scenes and talking robots. The robots are mostly the only good thing in the series. The same goes for this movie too. It’s just stupid.

One of the worst movies of the year, even Suicide Squad made it clearer and fulfilling to provide such story. Christina Hodson, the films screenwriter, clearly doesn’t know how to make believable character in an already established franchise. She break down a likeable character to the degree, that he isn’t watchable. She creates a main character that, in this regard Bumblebee is the protagonist, is horrendous and dreadful to even follow. It doesn’t help that Hailee Steinfeld’s performance is so terrible it doesn’t work. She ain’t relatable, trustworthy or even likeable as a character or a performance. She make stupid decision that doesn’t even make sense anymore and complains constantly without doing something about. She has no goal and just utterly boring as a character. She also falls in love with some character, that has nothing to do with this. He’ s tremendous horrible and convey most of the bad content of this movie. It’s like watching Fifty Shades of Grey and Transformer all together again.

The boy is only used in the movie as a comic relief of some kind. John Cena is there because he can scream and do nothing important. Even he complains constantly. Hailee has no chemistry with the family and everything just feels force with the storyline. The comedy is desperately cringed. The partly bad visual effects showcase that it’s just for the box-office reason this movie ever went into production, sadly. The constant use of clichés is brought on, scene after scene. Everything is prohibited, and the girl does it any way.

Not to mention the illogical villains where there is no clear and obvious explanation why things happens or their own motivations which makes a lot of plot holes. Bumblebee’s scenes is the best part where he tries to adapt to the new strange world. Sadly, all the good actors are only the voice actors and not the regulars. This is a movie that everyone should forget to watch but many can’t. It doesn’t bring new stories to the franchise, not that it’s an even a standalone spin-off movie. It’s forgettable and horrendous. A film that many should avoid. I try to forget every aching minute of this awful movie but it’s hard. This is certainly the worst movie of the year.
