
Kevin Hart steps down as the host for next years Oscars.
Two days ago, it was announced that Kevin Hart was going to host cthe Oscars in 2019. But recently, he had to backed as he had remarked some offensive tweets in the past in 2009, that made the Academy to rethink their choice.
On his twitter, he has now apologized for his previously comments:
I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscar’s….this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists. I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.
He was given an ultimatum; Apologized or back down as the host. In the end, he did both.
The Oscars airs february 24, 2019.
