Every film fan who is connected to the internet and has a decent knowledge about last years most controversially news; James Gunn – Fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in July 2018. It didn’t take long before he was attached to the DC movies.
January 30, 2019 Warner Bros. officially announced that Gunn is directing the sequel to the 2016 film, directed by David Ayer. It wasn’t the best film on the market but earned enough money and publicity that the executive producers approved a relaunch of the film. Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Joel Kinnaman is expected to return to their respective roles but as a relaunch this is not confirmed. Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder returns as executive producers. Dave Bautista has been campaigning about the movie on Twitter as well, The Hollywood Reporter writes.
Suicide Squad 2 hits theaters in August 2021.
