D.B Weiss and David Benioff have succeeded a long way with their epic fantasy series Game of Thrones, now they eyeing Star Wars.
The fact is that there’s a rumor where their new Star Wars movies are set in The Old Republic era. As the usual Star Wars saga goes; it follows the year of the Skywalkers and their predecessor, right? The new set of movies is planned to be set in an era that takes place before the known universe that we’re familiar with for the time being. This is a timeline that only has been submitted throughout games that have become a fan favorite.
The Game of Thrones – creators would by sure mean be familiar with these settings as this era is filled with political intrigue and wars just like their popular show. The Old Republic is filled with classic stories and if this charms the two writers enough, well only time will tell.
According to an inside source that has worked for Disney for a while, stated;
“art departments are in design phases now as the script is finalized.”
Whether if this is true or not, we don’t know for sure about it. But if anything would be confirmed it would be at the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, in April.
