The role earned him rave reviews, as well as Golden Globe and SAG nominations for best actor. Washington also had strong performances in “The Old Man & the Gun” and “Monsters and Men. ”writes Variety about John David Washington in their article.

The plot is not yet public but one insider describes it “as a massive, innovative, action blockbuster […]”. Thanks to the $526 million success of “Dunkirk” Warner Bros. have already scheduled it for July 17 2020 premiere. Nolan will produce it with his partner Emma Thomas and the production is planned to commence late this year.

Elizabeth Debicki and Robert Pattinson have joined the cast too.
