Christopher Nolan wants John David Washington to star in his next film.
Variety report that director Christopher Nolan recently finished the script for his next movie and want actor John David Washington (from “BlacKkKlansman”) to star in it.
“After breaking out in Dwayne Johnson’s hit HBO series “Ballers,” Washington is coming off a monster year on the film side, starting with his starring gig in “BlacKkKlansman,” which won best-adapted screenplay at the Oscars. The role earned him rave reviews, as well as Golden Globe and SAG nominations for best actor. Washington also had strong performances in “The Old Man & the Gun” and “Monsters and Men. ”writes Variety about John David Washington in their article.
The plot is not yet public but one insider describes it “as a massive, innovative, action blockbuster […]”. Thanks to the $526 million success of “Dunkirk” Warner Bros. have already scheduled it for July 17 2020 premiere. Nolan will produce it with his partner Emma Thomas and the production is planned to commence late this year.
Elizabeth Debicki and Robert Pattinson have joined the cast too.
