Feige confirms: Shang-Chi is part of phase 4.

Shang-Chi, the asian-oriented upcoming single movie, has by Marvel president confirmed that the movie will be part of phase four of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That could mean it’s going into production very soon and has a possible release next year. Not much is known of the next Chapter after Infinity Saga but we know that some sequels will be in play just as a Black Widow movie and The Eternals.

“This is not an Endgame question, this is a question about the future. I’m not suppose to answer questions about the future but in this case, I will because the answer is yes.”

Feige confirmed this news recently on a press conference for Avengers: Endgame (2019), that the movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. This movie is also the first asian lead to the screen in with themes of martial arts hero.

According to Slashfilm, Feige has said in a interview it would be very intriguing to go in this direction.

“I think every movie that we do is a risk. We only want to do movies that people seem to think are risks. Doing the story of an Asian-American hero of chinese heritage is something that is very intriguing to us. It will be really different and special.”

It seems that the next phase is going cosmic and diverse as The Eternals and Shang-Chi, are set to play a crucial part in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
