The sequel to the smash hit A Quiet Place, from the director John Krasinski, has been moved up to a March 20th, 2020 release.
Deadline and Movieweb report, even though that John Krasinski was determined and film that the first film only should be available and no talks about the sequel, Paramount Pictures has different plans. Since this horror movie was a successful hit to the studio, as the sequel was requested from the director, by the studio. After some thought, John Krasinski gives credits to his wife, Emily Blunt, to make the possibility of a sequel a reality:
“I don’t even see it as a sequel. Emily (Blunt) actually blew my mind by categorizing it the correct way after I pitched it to her. She said, ‘This isn’t a sequel at all – this is the second book in a series of books. It’s a widening of a world.’ And I thought that’s the best way to look at it. It doesn’t feel like a sequel – it’s a continuation of living in that world.”
As expected, John Krasinski won’t return to the second film, but the rest of the main cast will. Cillian Murphy joins the family in a mystic role. The film, for some people, is needless and for some others can’t wait what to expect in this next movie. The first date was May 15,2020 but is now earlier in March. The first film opened to $340.9M global last year when it opened to surprisingly good success, for everyone involved.
