The Hellraiser franchise hasn’t been that successful and pleased that many fans but that doesn’t stop a TV-Series from being made.
The news about a TV-series arrived shortly after David S. Goyer was set as the writer for a new feature film that will be released. The series appears to work outside the franchise. Although, it’s still unknown if Doug Bradley will reprise the role as Pinhead.
A TV-series for Hellraiser has been attempted several times, as early on as 2012. The intention for the series is to us the Clive Barker novella The Hellbound Heart, as a source for the series. The writer or even a showrunner hasn’t been hired yet.
