“The Big Lebowski” spinoff movies featuring John Turtorro as Jesus Quintana, has now a given new title.
John Turturro is set to direct from his own script and star in The Jesus Rolls (2020), which centers around a minor character in the Coen-brothers classic movie. First, the movie was given the name Going Places but is now changed to a different one, like Variety reports.
It’s set for an early 2020 release and the plot is released as well:
“The Jesus Rolls” follows a trio of misfits whose sexually charged dynamic evolves into a surprising love story as their spontaneous and flippant attitude towards the past or future backfires time and again, even as they inadvertently perform good deeds. When they make enemies with a gun-toting hairdresser, their journey becomes one of constant escape from the law, from society and from the hairdresser, all while the bonds of their outsider family strengthen.
Robert Salerno, John Penotti, Fernando Sulichin, Sidney Kimmel and Paul-Dominique Win Vacharasinthu is some of the producers. Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou together with Jon Hamm, Susan Sarandon and Pete Davidson is joining him in the cast.
