Upcoming Netflix Horror ‘Things Heard & Seen’ May Star Amanda Seyfried
Amanda Seyfried is in talks to join the cast of “Things Heard & Seen.” The project is a supernatural thriller for Netflix, which is written and will be directed by Oscar-nominated filmmakers Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, who is famous for films such as American Splendor (2003) and 10,000 Saints (2015).
It’s reported that the project is an adaption of the book “All Things Cease to Appear” by Elizabeth Brundage, and will have a similar tone to Netflix’s series The Haunting of Hill House.
Hollywoodreporter.com describes the story in their article.
“The story centers on a young couple who move to a farm near a small town in upstate New York. Their new home is cursed by the murder of its former owners and as haunted secrets reveal themselves, the husband and wife’s own marriage reveals itself to have a darkness of its own,” writes Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit.
Seyfried’s role is hinted to be the struggling wife who is trying to adjust to the small-town life and who comes to believe her house is haunted. As for the team of producers, the project will have Stefanie Azpiazu, Peter Cron, Julie Cohen, and Anthony Bregman, who recently wrapped production on In the Heights (2020).
