A female-lead ensemble from has approached and pitched a female-lead movie to the Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. And the rumor is that there’s something serious on the way.
Brie Larson, Captain Marvel, apparently was one of the front-figure to approach this very idea. Larson has an ensemble of actresses that wants to make this happen:
“You know, I’m not in charge of the future of Marvel, but it is something that we’re really passionate about and we love and I feel like if enough people out in the world talk about how much they want it, maybe it’ll happen.”
Brie Larson continues:
“I will say that a lot of the female cast members from Marvel walked up to Kevin and we were like, ‘We are in this together, we want to do this,’”
This hybris might have come from Larson as her own Captain Marvel movie grossed over $1 Billion dollars on the box office. Kevin Feige has prior to this news expressed interest in this genre but hasn’t green-lighted it yet. There’s a lot of movies in the upcoming phases for Marvel Cinematic Universe, so this ensemble-cast probably has to wait a little longer.
