Michael Keaton Joins Sorkin’s Next Movie

Aaron Sorkin next directed movie The Trial Of The Chicago 7 set its premiere in October 2020.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 is set to premiere on October 2, 2020. Directed by Aaron Sorkin, it is under filming in both Chicago and New Jersey. Even Michael Keaton has joined the cast together with William hurt and J.C. MacKenzie. Sorkin has also hired Langella, Mark Rylance, Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jeremy Strong, Alex Sharp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Kelvin Harrison Jr to ensemble the cast as well.

Paramount Pictures, Cross Creek and DreamWorks Pictures is co-producing this biographic movie. Deadline describes the plot:

The film is based on the infamous 1969 trial of seven defendants charged by the federal government with conspiracy and more, arising from the countercultural protests at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The trial transfixed the nation and sparked a conversation intended to undermine the U.S. government.

Michael Keaton is set to play Ramsey Clark, William Hurt plays John Mitchell.  Marc Platt, Tyler Thompson, Stuart Besser, and Matt Jackson are some of the producers.
