Todd Phillips Joker (2019) has got attention worth mention in terms of controversy and there have been talks about a sequel.

This movie is an R-rated psychological thriller with a failed clown that tries to succéd as a stand-up comedian and fails, mostly because of the society treats him. Rumor is now that Todd Philips and the main actor Joaquin Phoenix, has talked about to work on a sequel for this one. It left with an open ending and Phoenix has expressed interest to continue his journey with this popular comic-book character villain.

“Well, I don’t think we’re gonna make a second one. That’s just not in our plans. But for fun, have me and Joaquin bounced around ideas? We were doing it when we were shooting because that’s what you do sometimes.”

As these quote suggests, the sequel won’t happen. It won’t be a reality just as The Joker is placed on a mental institution at the end of the movie.

“What we’re trying to do with this film is do something entirely different from the comic book movies that have come before. And not because those aren’t cool but just because we want to try something different,” he previously told AP News. “ut this won’t be the last Joker movie ever made. Something tells me that in 10 years someone else is going to do something.”

Joaquin Phoenix is also one of the potential Academy-Award nominée for next year.
