DISCOUNT DEADPOOL AIN’T FUNNY
This kind of movie is even allowed to exist in 2019 is undeniable stupid and offensive for those who appreciate good movies. This movie is what makes people dumb, ignorant or naive. Never has I as movie enthusiast been so exhausted of a movie that totally ignores the essence of cinema. A disgusting way to go through the sequel of Zombieland – Zombieland: Double Tap, is to have a shitload of unnecessary narration and a plotline that doesn’t make sense and showcases the stupidity of the genre comedy-horror. Shaun of the Dead succeeded because it was smart and ingenious executed. This shows just desperate money-grab with a cast that has done so much better in other projects than what they come near to accomplishes in this film.
Most of thIS movie has some throwbacks to the first movie, back in 2009. They were a little younger and now they are way more experienced on how to survive in a zombie-apocalyptic wasteland, that makes sense, right?
Little Rock, who was a child in the first movie has grown up to be sick of Woody Harrelson’s fatherly companion, so she decides with her sister Wichita, played by Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone, to run away. This makes Jesse Eisenberg’s Columbus to freak out and fuck Madison, Zoe Deutch’s character. Just as a convenience, Wichita shows up right at the moment when Madison is in the house. The relationship between Columbus and Madison is so uncertain and so unclear, that when he is set out to kill her because she has turned into a zombie, he doesn’t do it. This is what this movie does CONSTANTLY. Even the whole intro with credits is exhausting and spends almost ten minutes on overusing poorly done 3D-effects that doesn’t make it funnier. It’s tiresome and boring.
Some people might find this movie funny and delightful but as it’s filled with plot holes, plot convenience that doesn’t make sense and it’s just something that the screenwriter could fix. There’s so much predictability in this movie and so much poor writing. The jokes ain’t funny and the actors don’t really invest that much in each character. We get a double up for Columbus to the point where these people are killed. So why use them in the beginning?
The narration, by Jesse Eisenberg, is somehow catchy and intriguing but it doesn’t make sense that he’s telling the audience what the premise stands for. Who is he talking to? And why does he do it? No one doesn’t have real motivation to the plot as well as the plot tells them what to do, what to feel and even Little Rock on the hippie Babylon place suddenly has a fucking gun? Out of nowhere! No, it’s bullshit that this kind of movie is even allowed to be shown. The stupid plot is unnerving and breaks the entertaining for the audience.
Woody Harrelson’s Tallahassee keeps the entertaining and the dead story alive, proving that the hippie-talk about gun violence is stupid, that vegan deal is naive as well. He makes this bombshell movie worth watching and is the only cast-member interest enough to follow. He has a motive, he has feelings and he’s the one character who saves everyone at the end.
Eisenberg’s character Columbus makes decisions that don’t get the plots further, it doesn’t keep the story alive – or the audience already knows the consequences of his stupid, ignorant actions And this is a movie that is written by the same duo that wrote the popular Deadpool. Therefore, this is a CHEAP Deadpool in Zombieland.
