The iconic Ghostbusters actor is set to star in Farrelly’s upcoming comedy series for the Quibi platform.

Anonymous Content who recently worked on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why is the production company behind this project. Peter Farrelly is the series-director, along with his brother Bobby Farrelly. He is also writing the episodes with Pete Jones and Steve Leff, while Anonymous’ Steve Golin and Jeff Okin are executive producers.

“[…] Ed Poole […] who is about to take his own life when he finds out from his mother that his brother just died by suicide and his dad also did in the past. Ed quickly realizes the only thing that will make his life worth living is to “forget the past, screw the future and just live in the now,” writes Variety’s Will Thorne.

Murray will play opposite the cast of Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Daryl Hannah, Alyssa Milano, Jimmy Tatro, Rob Yang, and Lex Scott Davis.

The series is one of many projects for the upcoming short-form content platform, Quibi – which was founded by former DreamWorks Animation chief Jeff Katzenberg, and is led by CEO Meg Whitman. Another talked-about series of theirs is Steven Spielberg’s upcoming horror series After DarkQuibi is scheduled to launch in April 2020.
