Chris Pratt’s ‘The Tomorrow War’ Gets 2020 Release Date

The upcoming sci-fi action film starring Chris Pratt gets a release date. 

The film is written by Zach Dean, and directed by Chris McKay. Besides Pratt, it also stars Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, and Mary Lynn Rajskub. The movie had the previous title of Ghost Draft. 

The news site Variety describes the eventual plot:

“It follows a man […] who is drafted to fight a future war in which the fate of humanity may rely on his ability to correct issues of the past,” writes Variety’s Dave Mcnary.

It’s a Paramount film and is financed by David Ellison’s Skydance Media who have also worked on projects like Mission: Impossible, Terminator: Dark Fate and Gemini Man. Rob Cowan is the executive producer while Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Jules Daly, David Goyer, Don Granger, and Adam Kolbrenner are the producers.

Chris Pratt is known for roles like Peter Quill aka Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Owen the dinosaur handler in Jurassic World (2015) films.

The Tomorrow War is scheduled for a 2020 Christmas Day premiere.
