”Fresh Off The Boat” Ends In 2020 With Season 6
For 6 seasons, ABC comedy Fresh Off the Boat has entertained the audiences for a long time, which now ends in 2020.
It has been expected by the studio that this news would come. The series is expected to come to an end in February 2020 on 6 seasons run. The decision was acquired for the show’s producers. The series will contain up to 15 episodes and the series finale hasn’t been set yet. The producer has made that room for the writer to give the series a proper finale.
“We couldn’t be prouder of this game-changing show and the impact it has had on our cultural landscape,” said ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke. “The success of Fresh Off the Boat has helped pave the way for inclusion throughout the industry.
[Series creator] Nahnatchka Khan and her brilliant creative team have created an unforgettable series with an Asian-American family front and center, something that hadn’t been done in two decades. The cast, led by Randall Park and Constance Wu, is one of the finest and funniest on television. We’ll miss the Huang family, and are eternally grateful for the incredibly heartfelt stories they have told these past six seasons.”
One of the main leads, Constance Wu, was disappointed over the new renewal, but with the supporting cast, she was thankful for it. The problem was that she wanted to do other projects. Randall Park, Forrest Wheeler, Ian Chen, Lucille Soong, Chelsey Crisp and Ray Wise is also a part of the cast. Keith Heisler and Matt Kuhn are the final series showrunner.
