‘Iron Fist’ star Henwick is finalizing her negotiations to join the fourth “Matrix” movie.
She will join the cast of franchise-veterans Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, along with the recently announced members, Aquaman (2018) star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014) figure, Neil Patrick Harris.
Jessica Henwick is known for her role as Colleen Wing in the Netflix / Marvel series “Iron Fist.” Like the plot and other important details, her eventual character is still unknown and yet to be released.
Warner Bros. has tried in recent years to make the new installment but got derailed by hold-ups with the producing rights. However, they got the project up to speed through director Lana Wachowski’s script and Keanu Reeves’ rising box-office numbers.
The film got announced this August, along with the news that Reeves and Moss were already onboard. Lana Wachowski is the director and screenwriter, accompanied by Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell as her co-writing partners. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Pictures together with Village Roadshow Pictures will produce and distribute it. The team is seeking to start production around the beginning of 2020.
Until then, fans of Henwick can see her in upcoming projects that include, Kristen Stewart thriller “Underwater,” and Sofia Coppola’s “On the Rocks.”
