The upcoming videogame based series adds actors Olive Gray, Danny Sapani, and Charlie Murphy to the cast.

They will join the already announced cast of Pablo Schrieber, Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac, Shabana Azmi, and Kate Kennedy. Schrieber is set to be the series lead, the Master Chief.

Variety.com describes the joining cast members roles;

“Sapani will play Captain Jacob Keyes, described a dedicated military man, a war hero and a caring father […] Gray will play Dr. Miranda Keyes, a brilliant UNSC Commander who is dedicated to understanding the technology, language and culture of the Covenant, but she’ll have to learn to navigate the politics of the UNSC to get what she wants […] Murphy will play Makee, an orphaned human who was raised by the alien Covenant and shares their contempt for humanity,” writes Variety’s Joe Otterson.

The news about Showtime ordering ten episodes got announced last June, which is now trimmed down to nine. The team behind the show will be Kyle Killen and Steve Kane as executive producers, together with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey from Amblin Television, series director Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie of One Big Picture, Scott Pennington from Chapter Eleven, and Karen Richards. Killen and Kane are also set to be co-showrunners.

Production is set to start this month in Budapest, Hungary, and is at the moment scheduled for airing in 2021.
