Zoë Kravitz Is Officially Catwoman

Actress Zoë Kravitz, from “X-Men: First Class” and “Big Little Lies” fame, will play Catwoman in the new Batman film.
It’s official that Kravitz will join her now co-star and the Caped Crusader himself, Robert Pattison, in Gotham for Matt Reeves’ upcoming 2021 film “The Batman.”
It’s been known that the casting process for the antiheroine was down to her, Zazie Beetz, Eiza Gonzalez, and Alicia Vikander. This time Kravitz came out on top and snatched the role. Last time we saw the memorable DC Comics’ character were in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) then portrayed by actress Anne Hathaway. Catwoman has also been played by Halle Berry in 2004 and Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992.
For this film, Matt Reeves took over the director-role from actor Ben Affleck in January 2017. Affleck also left his Batman-role after starring in Justice League (2017), which gave Reeves the opportunity to choose Robert Pattison to be Gotham’s Caped Crusader.
Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are producing onces again. Neither the plot or filming dates have been officially announced yet but the shoot it’s rumored to start around the end of 2019 or at the beginning of 2020. The film is scheduled for a June 25, 2021, premiere.
However, fans of Kravitz can already see her in the upcoming Hulu series “High Fidelity” later this year.
