Stephen King is obviously on a roll, now that Carries is expected to return to the small screen after the 2013 movie adaptation, starring Chloe Moretz Grace.

The series is adapted by FX, the debut horror novel by King. It’s in development at the FX network but no other details. Even a writer isn’t even attached to the project. The story has been adapted before with Brian De Palma as director and Sissy Spacek as Carrie White. A sequel was made in 1999 and a TV Movie as well as a Broadway Musical back in 1988.

Epix has also started to adapt Jerusalem’s Lot to a series, based on King’s Short story. The Outsider, a series with Ben Mendelsohn, Cynthia Erivo, and Jason Bateman on HBO in January. Castle Rock has finished the second season on Hulu and The Stand is adapted on CBS All Access.
