Virgin River Returns For A Second Season; Premiere In 2020

The Netflix-series starring Alexandra Breckenridge, a 10-episode season has been ordered.

The series, based on the romance book-series written by Robyn Carr, surrounding Melinda Monroe who moves to Virgin River, in California. Sue Tenney serves as showrunner and executive producer. Even Jocelyn Freid, Roma Roth, and Christopher E. Perry are executive producers.  The Virgin River books feature more than 20 books and sold together more than 13 million copies.  Cast regular series Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, and Annette O’Toole is expected to return for the second season.

 The premise of the series:

“Virgin River follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe, who answers an ad to work as a nurse practitioner in the remote California town of Virgin River thinking it will be the perfect place to start fresh and leave her painful memories behind. But she soon discovers that small-town living isn’t quite as simple as she expected and that she must learn to heal herself before she can truly make Virgin River her home.”

The second seasons filming started September 9, 2019, and ended on December 17, 2019. News of the renewal was released December 20, 2019.
