Disney Remakes Bambi In Live-Action

Disney has recently remade from their animated films to live-action or an alternative adaptation. The new films such as Dumbo, Aladdin and Lion King have provided a new era of their films. This time, it’s going to be a CGI-animated Bambi story instead.

Disney has a new project in mind. Geneva Robertson and Lindsey Beer, who is expected to helm writing for the new adaptation, based on the film from 1942. Depth of Field, the production company behind The Farewell will produce the newcomer.

The film is expected to have likes like The Jungle Book and The Lion King, photo-realistic syndication. Compare to the former films in the same department, the production company expects it’s a smaller story and doesn’t demand such much of CGI.

The production company is also currently working on Pinocchio, with Robert Zemeckis as the director. Disney is also underway with a new remake of Peter Pan: Peter and Wendy and The Little Mermaid.
