The new movies are expected to set in the High Republican Era, when Yoda was younger. A new film series that might start in two years.

When will Star Wars end? Skywalker Saga has ended but the rest of the universe is still there unless Disney decides in the future to visit Rey at Tatooine again. Rumours, sources, has spoken to MakingStarWars that the new film series won’t be a trilogy but a series of films that are set in the same period, most likely 400 years before Luke Skywalker and the reign of Darth Vader. This was also the story that D.B Weiss and David Benioff tried to set off before they moved on.

The film series is expected to have both Jedis and regular heroes. The new era is also expected to have interconnected stories of information through different mediums like Video games, comics and films, that takes place in the same era. As Avatar is released 2021 and returns every two years, the next Star Wars is expected to be released in two years.
