Brandon Cronenberg’s Sci-fi thriller Possessor has now been acquired by Neon for a distribution release.
The film premiered on Sundance Film Festival this year and the Neon is expected to have a release date later on. Well Go USA is taking care of the home entertainment release. The sci-fi thriller stars Andrea Riseborough, Christopher Abbott, Tuppence Middleton, Sean Bean and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
“Neon is a hugely exciting distributor, and I’ve been eager to work with them for a while now. I’m thrilled they are taking on Possessor in ollaboration with Well Go USA, who made production of the film possible,” said Cronenberg.
The official plot:
Possessor follows an agent who works for a secretive organization that uses brain-implant technology to inhabit other people’s bodies – ultimately driving them to commit assassinations for high-paying clients.
Possessor is a Canadian/UK co-production, produced by Niv Fichman, Kevin Krikst, and Fraser Ash for Rhombus Media and Andy Starke for Rook Films among other executive producers. Neon has also released I, Tonya (2017), Borg Vs McEnroe (2018), Parasite (2019) and many more successful films.
