Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Sequel Officially In Production
A lot of things have happened to stop productions this year, but many animation-productions has kept up with the flow on how to work remotely on their animated project. The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is one of them.
At the beginning of the pandemic is showcased how Sony Pictures pushed back the sequel all the way to 2022. Nick Kondo, one of the animators on the first one, has shared some insight.

Sequel to the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse might have even been in production for a while but this is the first news on this sequel, considering it is aimed for a 2022 release.
According to reports, there will be a big focus on the romantic side relationship between Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. Ganke, a roommate will have a larger play and a Japanese Spider-Man will show up.
Nothing to be confirmed but Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and Haile Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen are expected to return. Its stills remain to be seen if Jake Johnson, John Mulaney, Nicolas Cage, and Kimiko Glenn will return to their respective role.
The sequel to the film is expected to premiere October 7, 2022.
