Ingmar Bergman’s “Scenes From A Marriages” is getting an American limited-series adaptation on HBO – a miniseries starring Oscar Isaac and Michelle Williams.

Ingmar Berman wrote and directed the original in 1973, a Swedish mini-series with Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson in the starring roles. Bergman’s story was somewhat based on his own experience and his relationship with Ullmann.

This is the third time Levi producing a series for HBO. He was co-creator and executive producer for Our Boys. He has won a Golden Globe for his creation of The Affair. For cinema, he wrote, directed and produced The August Show.

Williams is also reprising her role in the Venom sequel; Venom: Let te be Carnage (2021), which currently is in post-production.
