Ben Affleck has raised some controversy among fans as he provokes with uncertain decisions. Prior, he said that he quit as the broody, grumpy Batman but is now officially back as the caped crusader. Either he is likable or his not. Why he really return as the crimefighter, remains to be seen.
“He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before,” the director said in an interview. “It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck Batman kicks in.”
The Flash is a standalone film and doesn’t collide with Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ starring Robert Pattinson. The Flash has planned in release summer 2022 with speedster Barry Allen who is played by Ezra Miller. The film, directed by Andy Mushietti, where Allen breaks into multi parallel universes. Mushietti prior to this film directed the two-part films IT (2017-2019), based on Stephen King’s horror-novel with the same name. Ben Affleck’s Batman was the one The Flash fought beside in Zack Snyders DC films, which is one of the reasons why Mushietti wanted Affleck to return. The multiverse concept helps DC to recast the iconic characters with different actors. It stabilizes a potential multiverse which might be DC upcoming concept in the years to come.
