New Director Takes Over Captain Marvel 2
Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck were the co-directors of the first Captain Marvel (2019) which also crossed $1 billion marks. Nia DaCosta is helming the duty to direct.
At the moment, neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have commented on the news of the director. Nia DaCosta has previously directed the rebooted Candyman. Megan McDonnell, screenwriter for WandaVision will write this script. The studios have met with many candidates and DaCosta won the position.
Brie Larson is set to return for the sequel and in the first film, she got involved in an alien-war between Kree and Skrulls. Marvel Studios has been known for switching directors between film-series in the hope to shine more diversity on their Marvel Cinematic Universe.
