Benedict Cumberbatch has been reported to join Tom Holland for the third movie of the New York’s friendly spider.
For the third film, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures will produce with both Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch to return. Doctor Strange will have a mentor-role such as Robert Downey Jr. and Nick Fury had when they starred in the two other films, respectively. Jon Watts return a third time for the trilogy. The Doctor will also connect the film with the greater purpose of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, connecting it to the multiverse. It also means that he will be a link as Electro joins up as well. Jamie Foxx played the villain Electro back in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), which Mackans Film has reported.
The third Spider-Man is starting production in late October in Atlanta. The sequel Doctor Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness is also due to begin shooting this month. How Cumberbatch will have his scenes scheduled is not known.
Most of the cast from the previous installment is expected to return, such as Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, and Jacob Batalon. The third film is scheduled for December 17, 2021, but it might change due to the pandemic.
