Clint Eastwood will once more act and direct in his upcoming film Cry Macho for Warner Bros and the legend has reported looking for a location to film.
Reports say that the film might even go up in theatres next winters although it does not have an official greenlight…yet, as Eastwood is known to produce his films fast. Al Ruddy and Jessica Meier are producing together with Tim More and Eastwood. N. Richard Nash who wrote the novel in the 1970s the film is based on will also pen the script.
The 90-year old will play an old rodeo-star and horse breeder in 1978 to bring a young man home, from his alcoholic mom. Crossing Mexico, the rodeo-star will seek redemption and try to teach the young man how to be a good man during the journey home.
According to The New York Times, it’s all about morality:
A morality tale about two characters who help each other through tough transitions.
Clint Eastwood isn’t the director who also stars in his own films as he’s more the directing-type. One film where he did both was in The Mule, a thriller from 2018.
