
HBO Max has ordered a new series based on the DC comics of Green Lantern.
The story details are still unknown, at the moment. The series will include several Green Lanterns such as Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and Alan Scott. The series will also have fan favourites Sinestro and Kilowog. The series will be a full season of 10 one-hour episodes. Executive produced and to bewritten by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim. Grahame-Smith will be the series showrunner.
Berlanti Productions will produce together with Warner Bros. Television. Grahame-Smith credits for screenwriting includes The Lego Batman Movie and Dark Shadows. He is also a novelist.
Guggenheim has been working as a comic book writer, written and been showrunner for Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. He wrote also the failed film Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds. There has also been reported in July that Matt Reeves and Terrence Winter will develop a Gotham PD, series for HBO Max, with the purpose to connect with the upcoming The Batman starring Robert Pattinson.
