Reports say that David Lynch might be working on a new Netflix original series for a production start in May 2021.
Lynch has produced both TV-series and movies over the years but probably most known for Twin Peaks who got a revival treatment recently. Issue 1222 of ProductionWeekly lists Wisteria as one of his upcoming projects, which means various flowering plants around the world. It also says that it will start production in May 2021 and will be filming at The Calvert Studios. Sabrina S. Sutherland is set to produce who has produced Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces. Lynch rejected rumours that were present in April 2020, when The Hollywood Reporter interviewed him for a Netflix project.
“There’s all kind of rumors. I got a show called What Did Jack Do? on Netflix right now. It’s a great show about a monkey. It’s something you’ve got to see. And it will really help you in quarantine.”
The strange crime-drama on 17 minutes, where a detective interrogates a monkey got rave reviews and got dropped unannounced on Netflix. Nothing is confirmed for this rumour, neither from David Lynch or Netflix, so stay tuned for more updates.
