
Spike Lee is tapped to direct an upcoming origin musical-film on how Viagra came to be, for eOne.
Pfizer has currently got attention for its achievement of a COVID-19 vaccine. Spike Lee is expected to direct and has penned the script with Kwame Kwei-Armah. Stew Steward and Heidi Rodewald write the music and songs. It’s also based on David Kushner Esquire article – All Rise: The Untold Story of The Guys Who Launched Viagra.
The musical is based on true events on Pfizer’s discovery and groundbreaking drug-Viagra. Matt Jackson’s Jackson Pictures will produce the film together with Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule. Spike Lee is most known for BlackKklansman and Da 5 Blood, covering racism and including African-American in his films.
