Terrence Winter Drops Out from ‘The Batman’ -Series At HBO Max
HBO Max is in search for a new showrunner as Terrence Winter drops out from the spin-off TV-Serie, based with Batman based on Matt Reeves upcoming The Batman.
Terrence Winter, the former creator of Boardwalk Empire, who was hired as showrunner for Matt Reeves series, has officially dropped out. Apparently, it was creative differences, between Matt Reeves and other producers, that was the main reason Winter left the series. Both HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television have not commented on this news. The purpose of the series was primary to expand the universe of Batman Universe and the grave corruption in Gotham City. However, it’s unclear whether if both Robert Pattinson and Jeffrey Wright will appear in the series.
The series will be under Warner Bros. Television with Matt Reeves’ 6th and Idaho. Producers’ Dylan Clark, Daniel Pipski are producing, and Adam Kassan is executive producers. Rafi Cohn is also co-Ep. Even if the series is untitled, it has once been named Gotham Central. The film, directed by Matt Reeves, has been pushed back due to the global Covid-19 pandemic and is currently slated for release in March 2022.
