Tom Aschiem has been promoted at Warner Bros. Studios to oversee the studios franchise of Harry Potter.

During its prime, Harry Potter has generated billions of dollars after eight movies at the box office and seven published books combined with an on-going prequel series of the Fantastic Beast. Aschiem is reported to have more contact with J.K Rowling, one of the most best-selling novelists of all time, in terms of expanding the franchise for the studios. Although, no concrete plans on how to grow the Wizarding World has been announced and the future of the series is still unclear at the moment. Tom is working close to Warnermedia Chief Ann Sarnoff.

“In Harry Potter and the Wizarding World, we have an iconic franchise and characters that have become a beloved part of the lives of millions around the world,” Sarnoff said. “This new management of the franchise highlights its enormous importance to Warner Bros. and the myriad opportunities we see for continuing to engage and delight fans of all ages across the globe. I’m excited for Tom to be leading our efforts and look to him and his team to work across the company to discover innovative and creative ways of keeping the Wizarding World fresh and relevant for years to come.”

The third Fantastic Beast where Mads Mikkelsen was recast after Johnny Depp controversy, is still on-going with a release in 2022.  Other than the film-series, Potters magical world has been adapted to theatre plays, and theme parks.

The predecessor, Josh Berger stepped down in 2020 after overseeing the team and serving 30 years at the company. What the franchise would need is probably a high-budget TV-series about Tom Dolder or other main characters.
