Several media outlets reports the death of Christopher Plummer, an Oscar-winning Canadian actor.

Christopher Plummer, know from Sound of Music (1965)  and Knives Out (2019), has passed away at age 91.  His career in both film and theatre spanned over seven decades.  Plummer was born December 13, 1929 – February 5, 2021. He was awarded multiple times; including an Academy Award, two Emmys and two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe among others.

Lou Pitt, his longtime friend and manager of 46 years, said; “Chris was an extraordinary man who deeply loved and respected his profession with great old fashion manners, self-deprecating humor and the music of words. He was a national treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. Through his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his legendary life will endure for all generations to come. He will forever be with us.”

Plummer was the only Canadian actor who’s awarded the Triple Crown of Acting. His film credits span over 100 credits. He died at his home after a fall in Weston, Connecticut with his wife Elaine Taylor at his side.
