The anticipated limited-series from Lucas Film with a focus on Obi-Wan Kenobi starts filming real soon.
It’s reported that the special event series shoots in April and we’ve also got the first synopsis:
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series is directed by former Mandalorian director Deborah Chow. Hayden Christensen returns as well as Darth Vader. Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie – are all confirmed to join the cast.
The series is executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and writer Joby Harold. The series will an exclusive series available on DisneyPlus. No date is confirmed but we should expect a release in 2022 or 2023.
