Clues about HBO upcoming projects regarding Westeros has emerged.
Reports tell us that HBO is not done with Westeros and George R.R. Martin epic fantasy-world; 9 Voyages aka Sea Snake, Flea Bottom and 10,000 Ships. Of these projects, Sea Snake is the only project informed development, with a creative team including Bruno. HBO has denied comments. These projects up for adaption includes also Tales of Dunk and Egg, and a possible animated GoT. Both are possible adaption at HBO Max.
HBO/HBO Max Chief of Content Casey Bloys has talked about several stories to develop.
“We are talking about other areas that make sense as well. George R.R. Martin’s world is so big and what’s interesting about it, not only is it big but he’s got a lot of road maps in terms of history,” Bloys said. “So, one of the great things about House of the Dragon is that’s an established history that leads you to Game of Thrones the show, and there is a lot of little branches. There is a lot of opportunities and stories to tell.”
Bruno Heller, it’s implied to working closely with George Martin on any of these projects.
“The good news with the prequels is that there is history that George has laid out,” he added. “We are working with George, it would really be something we talk about with him but for right now, the prequels land themselves to it because of the really expansive history that George laid out in his world.”
The prequel-series House of Dragon is up for shooting this year.
