Marvel Studios has already a theatrical follow-up to the mini-series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, with the finale episode airing last night.
Malcolm Spellman is expecting to pen the film again together with Dalan Musson, staff writer on the mini-series for DisneyPlus. No confirmed casting has been revealed but Chris Evans’s interpretation/return of Steve Rogers who has been included in all Avengers films and three Captain America – films, generated billions of dollars to the franchise, has not been confirmed. Considering the pay-off of the six-part series concluded with a major cliffhanger revealing Sharon Carter as the Power Breaker. The feature would probably follow Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) aka The Falcon. As the story goes in the comics, a lot of people have been the wielder of the shield which Wilson currently is. The film with Chris Evans would probably be separated.
No directors are attached to the new project, as it’s quite a new announcement. Chris Evans has since January been rumored to return as the soldier of star and stripes. None of this has been confirmed by Marvel Studios and it probably won’t be for a while. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premiered on March 16th and debuted to the best opening. The series stars Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl, Anthony Mackie, and Julia Louis Dreyfus and concludes six episodes.
