There has been a gender shift in the classic roles that traditional helmed by men in cultural context, film and TV-Series. This concept is destroying young males with the lack of suitable role models.

It appears to be a big concern for the conservative MP in Britain, as suggested. Nick Fletcher has claimed that both female leads in Ghostbusters and Doctor Who solidifies the reason British young men are committing crimes.

On International Men’s Day, he told the parliament;

 “One only needs to look at the discussion surrounding who will play the next James Bond. And it’s not just James Bond – in recent years we’ve seen Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Luke Skywalker … all replaced by women.”

Tory MP has also added:

“When a young boy hears masculinity being constantly linked with toxicity in societal discourse, then it is no wonder so many suffer from a sense of worthlessness and isolation.”

They suggest that the ideal role model is now Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders, which suggests that gangsters and crime are cool, as the politician doesn’t think prison is cool. And that drama is one reason why young males commit crimes. Note that’s worthy to remember is that BBC Studios produces the crime period drama.

There’s also a concern from the British politicians that Daniel Craig’s James Bond’s next replacement would be a woman, even though producer Barbara Broccoli has repeatedly denied the idea of a female Bond. Even Prime Minister Boris Johnson has claimed that it should be a man.
