‘The Batman’ Sequel Happening With Pattinson And Reeves Returning

Batman returns with Robert Pattinson, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC announced at CinemaCon. 

“Matt Took one of our most iconic and beloved superheroes and delivered a fresh –”

Toby Emmerich announced at the convention. The whole team are set to return to Gotham. No official release date is yet to be decided. In speculative terms, we could see a release next year 2023 or 2024.

The Batman has earned over 759 million dollars at the global box office topping the best highest-grossing film this year, to date.

“The success of The Batman was a true team effort. We could not have gotten to this place without … the theatrical experience. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. As a lifelong fan of the movies, I treasure what you do,” Reeves told at CinemaCon. “There’s a sanctuary to be found in the movies.”

HBO Max has also ordered a series of The Penguin, with Colin Farrell returning to the villainous role. The spin-off series will be executive produced by Reeves, Dylan Clark, Farell, Daniel Pipski, Adam Kassan and Lauren LeFranc who also will serve as showrunner.

2022’s CinemaCon runs currently between April 25-28.
