Warner Bros. Pictures has pushed the project to next spring.
Lewis Pullman plays the leading role in the feature film adaptation. The film was planned to be released from September 9th this year to April 21, 2023. Gary Dauberman who from the It films is directing with a cast of Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, John Benjamin Hickey, Bill Camp, Jordan Preston Carter and Pilou Asbaek. The film is produced under New Line Cinema.
The book was published in 1975. The story follows townspeople turning into vampires. James Wan Michael Clear, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper are all producing. The studio has also displaced The Last Train to New York, a remake of South Korean The Train to Busan, which drops on HBO Max on July 28.
