Olan Rogers, the creator of Final Space which aired on Adult Swim and Netflix and was canceled with a righteous ending, has shared updates on his upcoming kick-starter project.

At least four actors have been cast.  One of them is the link which is a big one, according to Roger’s blog post. The animation is planned to start in February. This is just for chapter one. Another Kickstarter campaign will follow for the other episodes. Rogers has reported that it will be a behind-the-scenes- documentary series following the process.

The goal is to make this project a big success and deliver on everything. I’m excited about everything that is happening right now! Lots of progress! Remi has also started work on the character turnarounds, expression sheets, mouth packs, and some additional characters. Still on the hunt for a solid background artist, and I am hoping to meet some soon.

Currently, the project has $464,438 pledged by 3,629 backers with a goal to edit all chapters into a big feature film. The first tier of the project is planned to be finished in the third quarter of 2023. The first episode would land in 6 to 8 minutes. One episode, season 3 of Final Space cost 900K for 21 minutes. It will be written by Rogers, executive produced by Rosa Tran, directed by Ben Bjelajac, and animated by studios from the US, Canada, and Australia.
