
Marvel is going forward with their 18-episode Daredevil, with a new director for the first part.
Michael Cuesta, director of pilots from Dexter and Homeland will direct the first episode of the remade new series. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise their roles in this new series. Even Jon Bernthal is returning as the Punisher, the hard-core vigilante. Others to return are Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva and Sandrine Holt. Holt is playing Frisk wife, Vanessa. Michael Gaston has also been cast in the series. The series borrows the storyline from the 1986 comics by Frank Miller with drawings by David Mazzuchelli.
The series is written, and executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord. Cuesta are only directing the first episode, the rest of the episodes are for other directors. The series are aimed for a 2024 spring premiere on DisneyPlus.
