Glen Powell is set to join the thriller Huntington.
Writer-director John Patton Ford aims to helm the project. Studiocanal will finish the project and A24 will try to get a domestic deal. None is confirmed. A summer shoot is planned, which usually means the film drops next year or in the early new year slot.
Director comments:
“I feel tremendously privileged to make this film with Studiocanal, Blueprint Pictures and Participant. It speaks volumes about these companies that they have chosen to make an original and progressive movie such as this. And Glen Powell is the icing on the cake.”
The film is inspired by the old film Kind Hearts and Coronets, starring Alec Guinness from 1949, a comedy. But this new film will go far darker.
